The driver of a tractor-trailer was injured early Thursday morning when his truck overturned on Interstate 24.

Lewis Jasmin, 48, Georgia, was traveling east on I-24 at the 70-mile marker when, for a unknown reason, he lost control and went into the median. His truck overturned, and the wreck blocked both eastbound lanes, said Trigg County Sheriff's Deputy Tyler Thomas.

Jasmin was taken to Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville with injuries that deputies believe are not life-threatening.

Jasmin was out of the tractor-trailer when emergency personnel arrived.

The interstate will remain closed in the area as the wreckage is cleared.
