The body of Justin Michael Wheeler, 26, Elkton, was found by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department around 2:30 p.m.

Sunday, said Muhlenberg Coroner Tony Armour.

Authorities were waiting for autopsy results. The cause of death was not immediately clear.

Wheeler was reported missing and was last seen at 10:30 p.m. March 14 in Greenville.

Local police had been looking for him.

Wheeler’s body was found off Kentucky 601 in Greenville, said Armour.

He said the body had been there for a couple of days.

“We won’t be for sure how many until after the autopsy is done,” Armour said.

Wheeler’s body has been sent to Madisonville for an autopsy, he added.

An investigation is pending, and the cause of death has not been determined.
