A deputy was arrested Sunday on domestic violence charges, according to Trigg County Sheriff Ray Burnam.

Greyson Taylor is no longer with the department. Burnam said Taylor's employment was "terminated," but added that Taylor tendered his resignation at the same time.

Taylor is 24 according to the Christian County Jail website.

Details about the event that led to Taylor being charged with fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) are not being released at this time, Burnham said.

However, he confirmed the alleged assault took place earlier on Sunday.

Taylor was en route to Christian County Jail Sunday afternoon, Burnam said.

More information will become available once the sheriff's office release its incident report, Burnam said.
