The Dyslexia Association of the Pennyrile is the recipient of a $3,000 grant awarded by WHAS Crusade for Children.

The association will use the WHAS funds to purchase program material, iPads/Android tablets for use by students in their ongoing tutoring program.

WHAS Crusade for Children Inc., established in 1954 by WHAS-TV in Louisville, raises money for agencies, schools and hospitals to make life better for children with special needs, the release stated.

The Dyslexia Association of the Pennyrile, a non-profit United Way agency, provides screening, tutoring, advocacy and support services for individuals with dyslexia and related reading difficulties. For more information, call the association at 270-885-5804.
