A woman was injured in a house fire at 1138 Patton Place in Oak Grove just after midnight Thursday.

Four people who lived nearby assisted in getting the woman out of the burning home, said Melvin Archuleta, who lives near the home.

Archuleta said he stepped outside his home and saw smoke and fire coming from the nearby home and then saw a woman inside hitting a window.

Archuleta and three others, Lynn Marrero, Ashely Brewer and William Wall, entered the home through the garage and carried the injured woman out, Archuleta said.

The woman was taken to Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville.

There was no one else in the home and the home is a total loss, said Chief Gregory Bequette of the Oak Grove Fire Department.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will begin Thursday morning, Bequette said.

The Oak Grove Fire Department and Fort Campbell Fire Department responded to the fire, assisted by the Oak Grove Police Department.
