A Pembroke man told authorities that someone took a gun, bullets and pills from his home April 26.

According to the report, Lowell Reigel, 71, took his brother to the VA Hospital in Nashville and when he returned later that night, his back door was kicked in. Allegedly, a bottle of pills, a .22-caliber revolver, a leather holster and a box of bullets were missing.

Reigel told the Christian County Sheriff’s Department he believes his nephew, who they left in the driveway when they went to Nashville, entered his residence.

A suspect is listed on the report, but the name is redacted.

In another unrelated burglary, someone allegedly took a man’s window air conditioner in Hopkinsville.

Dan Hancock, 50, of Fowler Avenue, told police that an unknown suspect broke into his home and took an air conditioner from his window sometime between April 26 and 28.
