Shelia Denise Woodard Merriweather, 54, Country Club Lane, died at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Durrett Avenue Baptist Church.

Burial will be at Good Hope Cemetery in Oak Grove.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at Brooks Haven Memorial Funeral Home.

A native of Hopkinsville, she was born May 19, 1959, the daughter of Dora Woodard, Henderson, and the late Lewis Woodard Jr.

She had worked at Christian Health Care and was a member of Church Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, John Merriweather; her daughter, Shenita Smith, Hopkinsville; two sons, Carlos (April) Carrington, Hopkinsville, and Adrian Carrington, Oak Grove; five brothers, Melvin C. and Michael G. Woodard, both of Hopkinsville, Marshall W. Woodard, Indianapolis, Mark L. Woodard, Louisville, and Malcolm S. Woodard, Nashville; three sisters, Charlotte A. Woodard and Sharon K. Hopson, both of Hopkinsville, and Shirley J. Solman, Houston; and eight grandchildren.
