Edmund “Ed” Alton Cunningham Jr., 67, Sherinton Place, died Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery-West.

Visitation will be from noon until the service time Monday at the funeral home.

A native of Atlantic City, N.J., he was born Nov. 9, 1950, the son of the late Edmund Alton Cunningham Sr. and Annabell Kummer Cunningham.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War and worked in construction. He was a member of the VFW.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Louise Fuller Cunningham.

Survivors include his son, Edmund Alton Cunningham III, Christian County; his daughters, Lori Ann Cunningham (Warren) Persful and Brittnee Cunningham, both of Hopkinsville; his sisters, Marsha (Dwayne) Matsuoka and Marilyn Hamilton, both of California; and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
