Trigg County Court Clerk Carmen Finley and the Trigg County Election Board reported final totals from the primary election for the county Tuesday.

There were 2,989 voters between absentee and in-person voting for the primary. Amy McGrath won the Democratic U.S. Senate primary overall and in Trigg County, with 676 votes and Charles Booker coming in second with 371 votes.

Republican U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell led the primary with 1,208 votes in Trigg.

In the Democratic presidential primary, Joe Biden led with 910 votes.

In the race for 1st District, 1st Division Court of Appeals Judge, Chris McNeill narrowly took the lead with 983 votes, followed closely by Jenny Hines with 899 votes.
