Pam’s Pick this week is: “Abandoned in Death” by J. D. Robb, this is a homicide detective Eve Dallas novel. A note written in crayon is Eve’s first clue that the killer has mother issues. Left by the victim’s body, the note consists of just two words, bad mommy. As the NYPD crime unit processes the scene, Eve and her crew shift into investigative mode, and they later discover the victim isn’t the first woman who has disappeared in the neighborhood. Now it is a race against the clock for Eve to find a twisted murderer before another woman fails to meet the killer’s maternal expectations.
