Janice Mason Art Museum is hosting an exhibition of Artwork by Kentucky Artist Jason Sturgill, Lexington. This exhibit is titled “Jason Sturgill, My Time in Trigg County and A Retrospective of Self.”
The exhibit will consist of 15 panoramic drawings from his visit to Cadiz and Trigg County in 2019, and several pieces of new work that are a reflection on the pandemic and Sturgill’s own self reflection.
The exhibit opened Tuesday and will run through Oct. 3. A public reception with the artist will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sept. 26. Museum hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday at 71 Main St., Cadiz.
The Trigg County Senior Center offers lunch daily from 11:30 a.m. to noon: First and third Tuesday; dancing from 6:30-8:30 p.m.; Wednesdays Bible Study 9:30 a.m.; Thursdays blood pressure checks at 10 a.m. The exercise room is open daily from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The center offers a walking program designed for healthy living, “Walking with Ease.” For a complete listing of calendar events, call the center at 270-522-8341. The Trigg County Senior Center is located on Joy Drive in Cadiz. If interested in lunch, call the center for the daily menu and to let them know you plan to attend. Please note: all in person activities are cancelled until the center reopens. The Senior center is offering meals to go and also delivering meals daily beginning at 11:30am.

The Trigg County Farmer’s Market will be open on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Farmer’s Market parking lot on Main Street in Cadiz. The market will be open from 7 a.m. to noon.
