Regena Thomas Cassity, 84, of Mount Washington, Kentucky, formerly of Cadiz, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020, at her home in Mount Washington.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home Inc., 138 Main St., in Cadiz where a visitation was held Monday, Aug. 3. A second visitation was held on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020, until the funeral service time at Cadiz Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Roberts officiating.
Burial followed at Cassity Cemetery.
Born March 21, 1936, a native of Camden, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late J.G. “Tommy” and Lottie Lou (Hale) Thomas.
She obtained a bachelor’s degree from Murray State University. Mrs. Cassity retired from Trigg County Schools where she was a health and physical education teacher as well as the cheerleading coach for Trigg County High School.
Regena was a co-owner with her husband, Bobby, of Cassity’s Antiques for 22 years. Regena was a member of Cadiz Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bobby H. “Bob” Cassity of Mount Washington, Kentucky; a son, Thomas H. (Beth) Cassity of Mount Washington; a granddaughter, Shelby Cassity; a great-granddaughter, Aurora Cassity; a brother, Bob (Jean) Thomas of Scottsboro, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
