Jack Kenady, 77, of Gracey, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
A graveside memorial service was held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2020, at Millwood Cemetery, Harmony Church Road in Princeton, with Ronnie Putty and Dr. Wayne Pope officiating. Arrangements were handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St., in Cadiz.
Born Jan. 30, 1943, in Cobb, he was the son of the late William and Edith (Atwood) Kenady.
He was a retired contractor in Christian County, having worked many years for both commercial and residential customers. A licensed airplane pilot, Jack loved to navigate the skies. When he wasn’t flying, he enjoyed building kit planes and reading. His greatest love, by far, was being “Papaw” to Amanda and Phillip.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vickey Kenady; three brothers, Roy Thomas Kenady, John William Kenady, and Donald Eugene Kenady; and a brother-in-law, Leland Goode.
He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Orten of Hopkinsville, and Jessica Norfleet of College Grove, Tenn.; a grandson, Phillip (Sarah) Whitaker; a granddaughter, Amanda Whitaker; a great-granddaughter, Ellery Whitaker; a brother, Larry Kenady of Hopkinsville; two sisters, Judy (Granvel) Dulin of Crofton, and Doris Ann Goode of Hopkinsville; and sisters-in-law, Martha Kenady, Barbara Kenady, and Anna Kenady.
