Graveside memorial services for 63-year-old Peggy Lynn Clark of Staunton, Illinois, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020 at the Colley Cemetery in Trigg County with Randall Rogers officiating. King’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She died Monday, Dec. 2, 2019 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
She was born on Nov. 21, 1956 in Alton, Illinois to the late Thomas Brown Colley and Eliza Bell (Adams) Colley.
Peggy was the owner and operator of Moore’s Barber Shop for many years. She was a licensed teacher at Lincoln Barber College in Moline, Illinois. She cut hair at Williamson Funeral Home, The Glenwood and Heritage Health in Staunton. Peggy enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, camping, painting, arts and crafts and was extremely creative. She will be missed by many friends, family, and patrons whose lives were touched by her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Edward Colley; great niece, Leah Borgic; great nephew, David Vaughn.
Survivors include two sons, Steven (Sarah) Clark of St. Louis, Missouri and Jason Clark of Mt. Morris, Illinois; two grandsons, Kendrick Clark, St. Louis and Paxton Clark, Mt. Morris, Illinois; brothers, Johnny (Connie) Colley, Staunton and Lonnie (Connie) Colley, Staunton; sisters, Patty (Don) Stefani, Staunton; Penny (Todd) Ambul, Edwardsville, Illinois and Claudia Colley, Cadiz; sister-in-law, Cheryl Colley, Staunton; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
