Birtie Robertson Hart, 93

Birtie Robertson Hart, 93, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021, at her home.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St., in Cadiz. Funeral services were held at Goodwin Funeral Home Inc. at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2021 with the Rev. Norman Cotton officiating. Burial followed at Cerulean Cemetery in Cerulean.

Born March 19, 1928, in the Wallonia community of Trigg County, she was the daughter of the late Douglas Robertson and Delia Keel Robertson.

Birtie worked for 11 years as a dietary cook for Trigg County Hospital. She was married to the late Harlan Hart on June 29, 1946. A 70-year member of Cerulean Baptist Church, she enjoyed spending her time outside of work sewing, quilt making, mowing her yard and cooking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Harlan Hart; two sons, John Earl Hart and David Harlan Hart; a daughter, Dianne Wallace; a son-in-law, Randy Wallace; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Hart; a grandson, Steven Wallace; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Wallace.

She is survived by three sons, Richard Hart of Cadiz, Sidney (LaVerne) Hart of Monroe, Louisiana, and Jimmy Hart of Cerulean; five grandsons, Kevin (Tonia) Hart, Brett (Lindsay) Hart, Darrell Hart, Austin (Shaina) Hart, and Garrett Hart; four great-grandchildren, Ava Hart, Aidan Hart, Tyler (Candace) Woodburn, and Hannah Hart; one great-great-grandchild, Piper Hart; and two sisters, Wanda (Eugene) Sowell of Cerulean, and Fay (Joe Lee) Fooshee of Trigg County.
