Robert Williams

Robert C. “Bob” Williams, age 77, of Gracey, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

Born April 3, 1944, in San Francisco, California, he was the son of the late Elbert T. and Willie Florence Trent Williams. He served in the United States Army Airborne and National Guard. He was a factory worker at Pop Fastener, DANA Incorporated, and other factories in the Christian County Area. He was married to Shirley Fuller Williams on Decemeber 7, 1964. He was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Cadiz. He loved to talk about the Bible and the Constitution. He enjoyed spending his time woodworking and tinkering. He especially loved being “Papaw” to his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Williams and son-in-law, Gaylon Skinner.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Williams of Gracey, Ky; son, Robert C. (Patricia) Williams, Jr. of Gracey, Ky; daughter, Christinia (Ricky) Morris of Cadiz; three brothers, Steve A. (Lynn) Williams of Nev, Richard T. Williams of Salinas, Calif., Roy Lee Williams of Tenn.; sister, Florence Montalvo of Bethel Island, Calif.; six grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3rd. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home Inc. on Friday, June 4th at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Hardy officiating. Burial will follow at Stewart Cemetery in Cadiz, Kentucky.
