Kendal “Kenny” Lee Goodwin, age 59, of Cadiz, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at his home in Cadiz.

Born August 17, 1962, in Hopkinsville, he was the son of Hermon and Janice Goodwin of Cadiz. He was a truck driver for Fortner Gas Company in Cadiz and enjoyed working on lawn mowers and small engines. Kenny was a dedicated member of Canton Baptist Church in Cadiz. He was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan and a long time football fan. He loved spending time with his family and being “Pop” to his grandson Karsen. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Elaine Goodwin; a brother in infancy, Neil Goodwin; father-in-law, Richard Miller; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Birttie Daniel; and paternal grandparents, John and Vera Goodwin.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda Miller Goodwin of Cadiz; son, Kevin (Kelsey) Goodwin of Cadiz; grandson, Karsen Henson; brother, Jon K. Goodwin (Tammy) of Cadiz; mother-in-law, Jewel Miller of Cadiz.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends after 4 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021. Funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021 with the Rev. Brad Chalfin officiating. Burial will follow at Cerulean Cemetery in Cerulean, Ky.
