Gerald Ray Cameron, 71, of Hopkinsville, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

Born November 7, 1949, in Trigg County, he was the son of Jessie Lawson Cameron of Hopkinsville, who survives, and the late Charles C. Cameron.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky Joe Cameron and Lary E. Cameron.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Brenda Noel Cameron of Hopkinsville; two sons, Dewayne Cameron and Mitch (Lori) Cameron, both of Crofton; daughter, Susan (Carl) Knight of Elkton; sisters, Lyla Grace of Hopkinsville and Jeanie (Paul) Clark of Houston, Texas; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021. Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 3 p.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021, with Rev. Richard Sexton officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville at noon p.m., Monday, September 13, 2021. On behalf of the family and in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, it is requested that face masks be worn to the services.
