Ruth Imbush

Ruth Hampton Imbush, age 61, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Born January 4, 1960, in Elkton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Mary Gibbs Hampton. She had worked at Elk Brand Manufacturing Company in Cadiz and more recently worked at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Cadiz. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandkids, whom called her “Nana.” She also enjoyed reading and playing softball.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Fred Imbush; five brothers, Bobby Jo Hampton, Tommy Hampton, Jerry Hampton, Billy Hampton, Jimmy Hampton; and sister, Mary Carol Carneyhan.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Kerry) Stone of Cadiz; her son, D.J. (Tonya Loafman) Imbush of Cadiz; nine grandchildren, Austin Johnson, Dalton Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Hannah Loafman, Alyssa Imbush, Mariah Imbush, Dremah Harrel, Martina Imbush, Ameliah Imbush; long-time companion, Anthony Mayes of Cadiz; three brothers, Ronnie Hampton, Donnie (Shelia) Hampton, Danny (Diane) Hampton all of Cadiz; four sisters, Linda (Hulett) Webster of Princeton,Ky, Ann (Sammie Lee) Burnam of Cadiz, Sue Gail (Deon) Fox of Cadiz, and Jean Ritcheson of Madisonville, Ky; three sisters in law, Judy Hampton, Wilda Hampton, and Regina Hampton; and best friend, Jennie Mayes.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz. Where the family will receive friends after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2021 with the Reverend Norman Cotton and Scotty Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at Wall Cemetery in Wallonia, Kentucky.
