John Wayne Freeman, 52

John Wayne Freeman, 52, Hope, Indiana formerly of Cadiz, Kentucky, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021 at the Columbus Regional Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at King’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven Nichols officiating. Visitation will be from noon — 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at King’s Funeral Home.

John was born Nov. 1,1968 to the late Earl Wayne “Sonny” Freeman and Judy Carole Hall Freeman, Cadiz.

John was a beloved husband, father, son and brother.

John worked all of his life as a small engine mechanic and was owner and operator of S & J Small Engines. He was a Briggs and Stratton and steel certified master mechanic. John had recently been employed at Rural King in Shelbyville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father, Earl Wayne “Sonny” Freeman, his grandparents, Claude Huel and Mary Magdalene Freeman and Marvin Henry and Leander Creel Hall.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Sheryl Lynn McQueen Freeman of Hope, Indiana; sons, Joshua David Freeman of Hope, Indiana and Samuel Wayne Freeman of Columbus, Indiana; his mother, Judy Carole Hall Freeman of Cadiz; brothers, Robert Earl Freeman of Cadiz and Stephen Scott Freeman of Paducah, Kentucky; his father and mother in law, Clarence and

Shelvy McQueen of Waldron; sister in law, Jenifer (David) Remnant and his beloved dog Lou Lou.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hope Summer Playground.
