Thurman Alford Gentry, 90

Thurman Alford Gentry, 90, of Hopkinsville, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021, at his home.

There will be no services. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St., in Cadiz.

Born April 20, 1930, in Springfield, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Alford Franklin Gentry and Lossie Myrtle Spry Gentry.

Thurman worked for many years as a self-employed and second-generation brick mason. In his time outside of work, he enjoyed woodworking and watching horse races.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cherie Kay Magee; a grandson, Kevin Gentry; and a daughter-in-law, Teresa Gentry.

He is survived by two sons, Rickie (Janice) Gentry of Crofton and Alford Steaven Gentry of Hopkinsville; two daughters, Jacqulan (John) Heiserman of Hopkinsville and Marciline (Jerry Wayne) Holder of Cadiz; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joyce Ann Wells of Hopkinsville and Margorie Jean Bailey of Cerulean.
