Steven A. Mayfield, 55

Steven A. Mayfield, 55, Cadiz, died at 1:18 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020 at his home in Cadiz of natural causes.

A graveside service was 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan 18 at Duruy Bridges Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Cannon officiating.

Visitation was from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Born Oct. 5, 1964, in Baumholder, Germany, he was the son of Florence (Bridges) Mayfield, Cadiz and the late Herbert Gene Mayfield.

He graduated from Trigg County High School in 1982 and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of Donaldson Creek Baptist Church and was self-employed in construction and carpet installation. Steven always had an adventurous spirit.

In addition to his mother, survivors include son, Chris (Ashton) Mayfield, Murray; daughter, Lauren Mayfield, Louisville; brother, Robert “Bobby” Mayfield, Clarksville and sister, Laura (Scott) Mayfield Fagersten, Huntsville, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Drury Bridges Cemetery Fund, c/o Carolyn Williams, 88 Beechy Fork Road, Cadiz, KY 42211
