Lou Ann Moore, 85, Cadiz, died Friday, March 27, 2020, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.

Memorial services will be at a later date. King’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, she was born Jan. 20, 1935, the daughter of the late Fred and Lucille Irene Porter Schmidt.

She received a liberal arts degree from the University of Wisconsin. She worked as a medical librarian at the North Chicago Veteran’s Administration in Illinois for 25 years. In semi-retirement, she worked at the John L. Street Library in Cadiz.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jay Schmidt, and one sister, Janice Priebe.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, William G. Moore; three daughters; Jill Antoniou, Kaye Lauer and Whitney Foster; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
