Dalton Boyd Hancock, Sr., 91, of Cadiz, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, Tenn.

Born March 24, 1930, in Christian County, he was the son of the late Bascom Hancock and Bessie Campbell Hancock.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Boyd Hancock; step son, Fenton Dawson; five brothers, Sherwood Hancock, Joe Hancock, Efrie Hancock, Tom Hancock, Moody Hancock; sister, Helen McKay and a step grandson.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Grace Lane Hancock of Cadiz; son, Scott (Sandra) Hancock of Hopkinsville; step sons, Layton Dawson of Cadiz and Mont (Kecia) Dawson of Louisville, Joey (Peggy) Everett of Hopkinsville; step daughter, Pam (Deano) Oliver of Roaring Springs; step daughter in law, Marsha Dawson of Lexington; brother, Billy Ray Hancock, four grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends after 4 p.m., Sunday, October 10, 2021. Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc. at 11 a.m., Monday, October 11, 2021, with Bro. Paxton Redd officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors in Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
