Rozelle Stewart Burgess, 105, of Cerulean, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Shady Lawn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cadiz.

Born May 2, 1916, in Trigg County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd V. Stewart and Gurtha Ladd Stewart.

In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by her husband, Lucian Earl Burgess; son-in-laws, Wallace Kingins and Denny Audas; granddaughters and great grandsons; brothers, Ueal Stewart, Harper Stewart, and Garland Stewart; and sisters, Inez Story and Vera Ashby.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Kingins of Cerulean and Joyce Audas of Hopkinsville; grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at noon, Thursday, September 2, 2021, with the Reverend Gary Mitchell and Dr. Calvin Bryant officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Burial will follow in Cerulean Cemetery.

The family request that attendees wear face coverings and social distancing is encouraged.
