Virginia Lee Dillard McCombs, 83, died Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at her daughter’s home of natural causes.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2021 at Gamble Funeral Home with Rev. Perry Greenwade officiating. Burial will be in Patterson Cemetery, Trigg County. There will be a Walk Thru visitation Friday, 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Mask are required to attend funeral.

A native of Trigg County, she was born May 8, 1938, the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Rosie Bell Jones Dillard.

Virginia was a member of Little River Baptist Church. She was employed as a Cook with Pennyrile Nursing Home from which she retired.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter “Rocky” McCombs, Sr.: son, David McCombs; sisters, Lucy Bacon, Johnnie Wilson, Martha Dillard and brothers, RC, James and Henry Clay Dillard.

She is survived by her children, Rose Mary McCombs, Doris McCombs, Bobby McCombs and Walter (Monica) McCombs, Hopkinsville, KY. Siblings, Carolyn J. Dillard, Atlanta, GA; ED Dillard, Charles Dillard and Mack Dillard, Sr., Hopkinsville, KY. Sixteen grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
