Don Hunter, 66, of Cadiz, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Louisville.
Graveside services were at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, at Hunter Cemetery, 2300 Lineport Road in Cadiz, with the Rev. Eugene McWherter officiating. Arrangements were handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St., in Cadiz.
Born November 30, 1953, in Trigg County, he was the son of the late Emmett Hunter and Erma Wallace Hunter.
Don had worked as a laborer at Pennyrile Home Medical and at the former Boone’s Coin Laundry in Cadiz. He enjoyed classic cars, collecting vintage Avon bottles, and was a Big Blue fan of University of Kentucky basketball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Dennis Hunter, James Hunter, Dewey Hunter, Homer Lee Hunter, Wendell Hunter, and William Hunter; and six sisters, Merle Ball, Georgia Hancock, Eva Toll, Opal Wadlington, Erma Lane Hunter and Katie Noel.
He is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Chris) Stites and Emily McAlister, both of White House, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Alex Walker, Tyler Stites, and Dillon Wallace; his twin sister, Donna Jane (Tommy) Hanberry of Cadiz; and a special friend, Mary Ann Stevens.
