Dale Dunn

Dale Dunn, age 59, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021, at his home in Cadiz.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends after 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021. Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2021, with the Reverends Richard Sexton and Joseph Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Born August 8, 1961, in Cadiz, he was the son of the late Clarence Oval Dunn and Alma Lee Robertson Dunn. He was employed by Riken Elastomers in Hopkinsville and was a former 23-year employee of Brazeway. Throughout the years, Dale also worked as a meat cutter at local grocery stores, a skill he learned at an early age while working at Cadiz IGA. He was a 1979 graduate of Trigg County High School and attended Murray State University. In July 1982, he married the former Andrea Curtis, and they raised two children. As a family, they enjoyed spending their summer vacations visiting national parks across the country. Dale was a great cook, an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, and especially enjoyed hiking in LBL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Wayne Dunn and Roger Glenn Dunn; and a sister, Wanda Dunn Gard.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Andrea Curtis Dunn; his children, Elizabeth (Evan) Dunn Wiles of Jamestown, S.C., and Andrew Dunn of Cadiz; a brother, Jamie (Amy) Dunn of Hopkinsville, Ky.; a sister, Wilma Allen (Corkey Walka) of Cadiz; and his mother-in-law, Carol Curtis of Cadiz.
