Ronald “Ron” Chapman, 66, Cadiz, Kentucky, died Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. King’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Three Rivers, Michigan he was born on June 22, 1954 to the late Lewis Walter Chapman and Elenora Isabell Figel Chapman.
He was a retired engineer from PRAB & Hapman, Inc. in Kalamazoo, Michigan and he was the owner and operator of Cadiz Antique Mall and Pig Tails Ice Cream Shop in Cadiz. He was involved in the Cross Community Church of the Nazarene in Portage, Michigan and the Ponderosa Baptist Church in Cadiz. Ron loved horses, loved to fish and he loved to laugh.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepdad, Milton Kyser; twin brother, Don Chapman; brother, Rev. Tom Chapman and a niece, Mary Beth Harrah.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Chapman, Cadiz; sons, Gabriel Chapman (Maxine), Vicksburg, Michigan; Clayton Chapman (Heather), Cadiz; Keith Chapman, Cadiz; Kevin Chapman, Cadiz; daughter, Ahminda West, Three Rivers, Michigan; brother: Gary Chapman (Reggie), Three Rivers, Michigan; sisters, Linda Vance, Lincoln, California; Kathie Ruth (Jim), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Sherri Chapman, Vicksburg, Michigan; Becky Chapman, Indianapolis, Indiana; six grandchildren, Bryce Chapman, Cayden Chapman, Evan West, Jonah West, Ava Chapman, Kayson Chapman; special puppy: Dottie; many other extended family.
