Homer Larry Thomas, 77, of Cadiz, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 26, 2020, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main St., in Cadiz.

Burial followed in Peyton Thomas Cemetery in Trigg County.

Born Nov. 13, 1942, in Trigg County, he was the son of the late J. Frank Thomas and Mary Barnes Thomas.

Larry was a self-employed skilled carpenter by trade, whose reputation preceded him as being one of the finest home builders in Trigg County. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a 55-year member of Donaldson Creek Baptist Church. Larry was a fan of NASCAR and loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his son, Jason Thomas, Morgantown, Indiana; four grandchildren, Ava Thomas, Bashlin Thomas, Trigg Thomas and Boone Thomas; a brother, James (Connie) Thomas, Cadiz; and a sister, Donna (Harold) Calhoun, Cadiz.
