Info: To begin the Christmas season this year, the Hopkinsville Art Guild Gallery is offering special evening Reception. This gives the community a chance to preview the new gift items in the Gallery for Christmas shopping.  The Gallery is the only place in Hopkinsville that offers only original artwork made by 25 local artists who live in Western Kentucky and Northern Tennessee.  It offers an eclectic mix of original paintings, photographs, wood turnings, jewelry, Christmas cards, Christmas ornaments, calendars, and sculptured pieces for sale. Many of these sensational items are under $50.00! All pieces on display are one of a kind, handmade originals which are “Made in the USA!”. Gift certificates are also available.

Info: Oak Grove Community Cares are inviting all to join us in this one-of-a-kind tribute to our soldiers and their families. We will be taking trips around the walking trail to commemorate all hardships we all deal with every day with a candlelight vigil. Refreshments will be available to all who join us. Candles will be available to all for the cost of a $1 or a donation of any kind (canned goods, jacket, blanket, toy.) Veteran’s Honor

Parade

Where: Downtown Hopkinsville

Info: The Division of Parks and Recreation, Military Affairs, City of Hopkinsville and Christian County Fiscal Court will be holding a Veteran’s Honor Parade. The half-mile route will be down Virginia Street from the War Memorial Building turning left onto Ninth Street to the Justice Center.  A float will be available for those veterans who prefer to ride the parade route.  Every participating veteran will receive a small American flag to carry and take home. Veterans will be honored during a short closing ceremony following the Parade at the Justice Center.
