The suspect accused in a murder that took place in Oak Grove Sunday morning turned himself in after the Kentucky State Police announced its investigation into the murder, according to a KSP press release.
The release states that at almost 3:45 a.m. Sunday, KSP Post 2 was requested to investigate a shooting murder that reportedly occurred at 211 Tyler St. in Oak Grove earlier that morning.
Upon KSP detectives’ arrival, KSP confirmed that Gailon J. Toler, 18, of Clarksville, had been shot to death. The Christian County Coroner’s Office was also on scene to pronounce the death of Toler, the release added.
Through KSP’s investigation, detectives were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Tyron M. Holt, 20, of Clarksville, on a murder charge.
The warrant allegedly states that Holt shot Toler multiple times at the steps of the home on Tyler Street.
On Monday morning, Holt had turned himself in at the Oak Grove Police Department and was arrested, according to the release.
No other information regarding the shooting incident has been released.
