The Kentucky Fire Commission provided their live-fire flashover training chamber to local firefighters Saturday during a training session at Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department. The chamber is a safe, manageable way to illustrate how flashovers work. During the training, firefighters packed into the 8-foot by 5-foot chamber which was filled with thick, rolling smoke. Firefighters were accompanied by instructors who talked them through the process and led them in teamwork exercises inside the chamber.
