Just as they did a year ago, the Hopkinsville Tigers picked up their second win against the Calloway County Lakers, but this season they did it with a player that wasn’t even on the roster during their previous win against the Lakers.

Ellis Dunn continued his year at quarterback Friday after the loss to Jay Bland earlier this season and Dunn had his best game of the year on the ground in the victory. Dunn rushed for 161 yards and three touchdowns.

Hoptown is now 2-6, but it’s been a season the players nor Clayton expected.

Caldwell County recorded 41 first-half points against Fort Campbell Friday at Fryar Stadium en route to a 48-15 victory.

Fort Campbell (1-7) travels to take on Paducah Tilghman at 7 p.m. Friday.
