Missouri deputies kill man suspected of shooting officer

Police investigate the scene on Myer Road in Lincoln County where officers says they took a suspect into custody who was wanted for shooting a police officer in St. Charles County, Mo., on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Police in eastern Missouri say a man suspected of shooting and wounding a St. Peters police officer has been killed by sheriff's deputies. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the incident began Thursday afternoon when the officer pulled over a car, and the driver shot the officer in a leg. The officer was taken to a hospital for treatment and released.
