Local author Teresa Medeiros’ 22nd novel, “The Pleasure of Your Kiss,” was released Tuesday in print and as an e-book. Medeiros will be signing copies of the book from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 7 at Kroger on Skyline Drive.

Medeiros has written a variety of romances, vampire stories, westerns and pirate novels. Her new novel focuses on Ashton Burke, a legendary adventurer who has spent years roaming the globe trying to forget a failed romance. His wandering is interrupted when he’s hired to rescue his brother’s kidnapped fiancée from a sultan’s harem.

He discovers that the fiancée is Clarinda Cardew, the same girl he has spent years trying to forget. The pair embark on an adventure that takes them from the sultan’s court to the ballrooms of London, rekindling their old romance along the way.

The novel is available from all major booksellers and as an e-book from Amazon.com and Barnes&Noble.com. It will also be a featured selection for the Doubleday and Rhapsody Book Clubs.

Medeiros’ books have appeared on the New York Times, Publisher’s Weekly and USA Today best-seller lists. They have also ranked in the top 10 on the Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, Wal-Mart, Ingram and Newsday mass market lists.

Medeiros has been published in 17 languages and is a two-time recipient of the Waldenbook Award for best-selling fiction with more than 10 million books in print.
