Local student attends Navy STEM program

Hopkinsville student Anna Hernandez participated in the United States Naval Academy’s STEM program June 4-9 in Annapolis, Maryland.

Students were selected based on strong accomplishments inside and outside the classroom. With over 5,000 students applying this year, the program’s acceptance rate was only 5 percent.

Anna is a rising ninth-grader at Hopkinsville High School.

Majors earns bachelor’s from Florida Tech

Jordan Majors, a business administration major from Hopkinsville, received a bachelor’s degree at Florida Institute of Technology’s spring commencement on May 5.
