Eight Christian County Public Schools music students have accepted and signed scholarships for Fall 2020 to pursue music degrees.

Those students are Alex Pritchett, Jamia Forte and Brianna Barber from Christian County High School Colonel Band; Jullian Morman and Chantell Day from the CCHS Colonel Choir; and Jaslyn Rivera, Jaylon Taggart and Angel Rodriguez from Hopkinsville High School Tiger Band.

Alex Pritchett accepted a full-tuition offer at the University of Louisville and will be pursuing a Bachelor of Music. He received additional offers from WKU and Murray State.

Jamia Forte accepted the Explorer Award, Dean’s Scholarship, and a Department of Music Scholarship at the University of Tennessee at Martin where she will be pursuing a Bachelor of Music. She received additional offers from Western Kentucky University and Murray State.

Brianna Barber accepted the Roads Scholar Scholarship at Murray State University where she will be pursuing a Bachelor of Music

Jullian Morman accepted the Marvin D. Mills Scholarship (full ride) at Murray State University where he will be pursuing a Bachelor of Music

Chantell Day accepted the Society Scholarship, Drs. Richard and Mary Broeringmeyer Scholarship, Jack Paxton Memorial Scholarship, Sharilyn Dawn Almquist Memorial Voice Scholarship, Road Scholars Scholarship, Roger Bedgett Family Scholarship, Racers Giver Rewards, and the Blue Level Diversity Scholarship at Murray State University where she will be pursuing a Bachelor of Music

Jaslyn Rivera accepted the Dean’s Scholarship, Department of Music Scholarship, Jane G. Goldston Scholarship, Wells T. Lovett Endowed Scholarship, McKenzie Henry Memorial Scholarship, Racers Give Scholarship, and the Roger Reichmuth Scholarship at Murray State University where she will be pursuing a Bachelor of Music. She received an additional offer from Western Kentucky University.

Jaylon Taggart accepted the Campus Lights Scholarship, M. & C. Harris Honors Music Scholarship, Racers Give Scholarship, and the University Academic Achievement Scholarship at Murray State University where he will be pursuing a Bachelor of Music and Psychology. He received additional offers from the University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, and Western Kentucky University.

Angel Rodriguez accepted the Clarence Walker Scholarship, and the Racers Give Scholarship at Murray State University where she will be pursuing a Bachelor of Music
