March 15 was a special day for residents of long-term care facilities in Kentucky. Visitors were welcomed after nearly one year; with infection-prevention controls in place, health screening, and an emphasis on handwashing, masks, and social distancing. Sayre Christian Village CEO Karen Venis said residents who previously felt disconnected were finally able to touch the hands of their families and loved ones.
