A Hopkinsville man succumbed to his injuries Tuesday following an accident Saturday on Old Madisonville Road, according to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.

Micah Pendleton, 20, Hopkinsville, died Tuesday while at Vanderbilt University Medical Center due to the injuries he sustained.

Pendleton was the passenger in a vehicle driven by Jacob Nanney, 19, Hopkinsville.

According to the sheriff’s report, the vehicle ran off the road for an unknown reason and overturned several times before coming to a stop on its side.

Nanney and Pendleton were both transported to Jennie Stuart Health for treatment. Nanney suffered minor injuries while Pendleton had to be flown to Vanderbilt for serious injuries.
