A Hopkinsville police officer, another driver and two passengers were all injured at around 8:45 p.m. Saturday after being in a two-vehicle collision on Dawson Springs Road and Henson Drive, according to a Kentucky State Police press release.

The release states a preliminary investigation revealed that Officer Timothy Humble was patrolling the area in his HPD vehicle when a car driven by Armon White, 18, Hopkinsville, struck Humble’s vehicle in a rear-end manner.

Humble was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries, according to the release.

White was transported to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of serious injuries he also sustained during the collision.

Two of White’s passengers, Jakiyah Henton, 18, and Taquavion Coleman, 18, both of Hopkinsville, had to be taken to Jennie Stuart Health for minor injuries. White’s third passenger, Jarell Lidell, 18, Hopkinsville, did not report any injuries.

KSP is continuing to investigate the collision, the release added.
