A fire that started with a car destroyed the vehicle and caused moderate damage to a home on West Princeton Street in Crofton.

The two story brick home at 152 West Princeton St. had smoke coming from it, and the car was fully engulfed, said Crofton Fire Department Chief Scott McBride.

The blaze started when a visitor hit a gas line while pulling up to the home, said McBride. No one was injured in the fire.

McBride said the damage to the home was primarily contained to the attic, but there is smoke and water damage throughout.
