Two residents were displaced following a house fire Monday on East Seventh Street.

According to a release from Hopkinsville Fire Department, around 2:09 p.m. Monday, stations 1, 2 and 3 responded to the house fire at 1110 E. Seventh St., but the home was fully engulfed with flames and smoke.

Capt. Michael Pendleton said none of the residents were in the house and there were no reports of injuries. Red Cross was notified to assist the displaced residents.

Hopkinsville Police Department blocked traffic on East Seventh Street as firefighters extinguished the fire.

There was heavy fire and smoke damage to both the first and second floors of the home, the release stated.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
