The Hopkinsville Christian County Public Library has appointed Tiffany Luna as the Interim Executive Director effective February 1, 2023.
Luna is set to replace the current Executive Director, DeeAnna Sova within the coming weeks.
Luna has been with the library for the past six years climbing her way up the ladder as she began in 2016 as a part-time library assistant and then was promoted in 2017 to Youth Services Librarian. In 2019, Luna filled in the role as the newest Operations Director of HCCPL.
Luna’s experience at the library gives her much insight on how the program is orchestrated.
She has big shoes to fill and tends to run the program not only effectively but also efficiently.
Sova, the current Executive Director, is soon to close the chapter as it was announced Sova accepted a position with Ascend Elements in Hopkinsville.
Sova will be the Equity Program Manager with Ascend Elements. According to the description the employee will “design, implement, and manage community benefits programs as part of Ascend Elements corporate stewardship initiative” in Hopkinsville.
Bart Cayce, HCCPL Board Chair shared, “We thank DeeAnna for her leadership and years of service. She has been a force for change and the evolution of how our library engages and communicates with our patrons. Knowing that every strong leader has a great team behind them, we are confident that Tiffany and the entire library team will continue to move us forward during this transition.”

HCCPL Executive Director, DeeAnna Sova also shared an immense thank you to HCCPL over the years she recounted what a ride it has been.
“Working for HCCPL has been an experience that I will always cherish. I have learned so much about the importance of the library since being here. Our library is a resource…. A safe space for so many people. I am thankful for the years I’ve put in,” said Sova.
“I will forever be able to use the library. Our library has been so intentional being invested in the whole community and will continue to do so. I’ve met amazing people along the way and I’m so thankful for the incredible staff here. Upon my newest path, I’ve prayed and listened to God, intentionally. I’m excited for my new chapter in life but I also have a peace of mind knowing that the Library is in good hands and will continue to thrive in the way we’ve always imagined.”
Aristotle once said “Change in all things is sweet.” Though positions and titles are shifting at the Library, HCCPL will continue operating as the cornerstone of the community with endless resources for patrons to tap into.
