Trigg County High School sophomore Bethany Turner was named 2019 Miss Trigg County on Thursday night.
The pageant, sponsored by the Trigg County Marching Band Boosters, was at the Trigg County High School Little Theater.
Ten girls from the high school participated in the pageant this year. They were judged in a casual wear competition, question and answer session and formal wear.
Turner was also voted Miss Congeniality by the other contestants.
Turner said she entered the pageant to build on her confidence and self esteem and to help the other contestants.
“I entered this pageant to make new friends and build relationships," she said. "When you are backstage with the other girls, you get to build each other up. Pumping another contestant up may be just what she needs to here to help her conquer her fear.”
Junior Lexie Oliver was named first runner-up. Second runner-up was Elizabeth Hiter. Nicara Allen was named third runner-up and Lilly P’Pool was named fourth runner-up.
