Much is in store this weekend for the community to attend. Earlier this month, at the unveiling of the bell hooks mural downtown, Alissa Keller, who is the Executive Director of the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County announced an upcoming event on Saturday themed “A brunch with bell” set to take place on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The well known author who constructed her legacy under an all lower case penship: bell hooks, preferring to spell her name with no capital letters as a way of de-emphasizing her individuality is set to be honored by the community all throughout week, honoring Gloria Watkins on what would be her 70th birthday.
