Kolby Hancock, 12, drives a tractor hitched to a wagon through an obstacle course Thursday during the Tractor Driving Competition hosted by Christian County 4-H at the Western Kentucky State Fair grounds track. Hancock earned third place in the juniors division. Mary Anne Garnett, 4-H agent with the Christian County Extension Services Office, and Bruce Jenkins, volunteer, judged the competition. Garnett said this is the first year in more than a decade Christian County has hosted the competition. This year, three youth competed in the juniors division and five teenagers competed in the seniors division. During the competition, drivers were critiqued on safety skills and driving ability. "They had a specific course for each age division that included backing, hoooking a wagon and driving around obstacles," Garnett said.
