Gas station robbed at gun point

Marathon on East Ninth Street

Police are looking for two men who robbed a Marathon gas station early Monday morning on East Ninth Street and South Campbell Street, according to a Hopkinsville police report.

Anand B Patel, Hopkinsville, told police two unknown men armed with a gun and a knife entered the Marathon convenient store at approximately 12:30 a.m. and threatened to kill him if he did not give them money from the store, according to the report and Hopkinsville police. The report also says minor injury to the clerk occurred.

The men took money from the safe and register, a security video monitor and a security digital video recorder (DVR) before fleeing on foot. Police said one man was wearing a mask, however no description of the suspects have been released.
