Hopkinsville Police Department released a photo of the vehicle involved in the shooting of Jakiyah Hinton Friday morning. The vehicle is believed to be a gray Dodge Journey that may have out of state tags. A teenager was seriously injured transported to Nashville after being shot in the face at around 7:15 p.m. Thursday while in the area of Mechanic and Younglove streets, according to a Hopkinsville Police Department report.

The report states police were called to the area after receiving a shots fired call. A short time later, Jakiyah Hinton, 18, Hopkinsville, arrived at the Jennie Stuart Health emergency room with a gunshot wound to her face.

Hinton told police that she was in a vehicle when another vehicle fired several shots into her vehicle, striking her, the report said.

Jennie Stuart staff tended to her injuries before she was transported to a hospital in Nashville in stable condition, the report added.

No suspect information has been released, however, police did release a photo of the vehicle involved in the shooting. The vehicle is believed to be a gray Dodge Journey.

Larayna Manning, 47, Hopkinsville, was arrested at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday while at West Seventh Street for first-degree trafficking in cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia after police discovered a large amount of cocaine and several crack pipes in her home following a search warrant, according to an HPD report.
