A man was arrested after 7:25 p.m. Monday while at the High Road Convenience Store at Hugh Hunter Road in Oak Grove after allegedly shooting a woman injuring her, according to a Kentucky State Police press release.
The release states KSP troopers were called to the area in reference to a shooting that reportedly occurred at the High Road store.
After investigating, detectives discovered that Angela Perez, 22, Clarksville, and her significant other were at the convenience store when Evan Adams, 31, Clarksville, pulled into the store’s parking lot, the release said.

Adams approached Perez to confront when she attempted to flee the area in her vehicle. Adams then allegedly produced a handgun and fired a shot into Perez’s vehicle, striking her in the abdomen, according to the release.
Perez continued to leave the area before she was later transported to Tennova Healthcare for her non-life threatening injury, the release stated.
Adams was later arrested while at the High Road store and was taken to the Christian County Jail.
Adams was charged with first-degree assault for the incident. He was also served an unrelated warrant for failure to appear, the release added.
KSP is continuing to investigate the incident.
